Digital Designed is a home based business located in Dover, PA. They specialize in custom made decals and shirts. They have been in business since 2010. When they first started, they only made decals. They didn't branch out into making shirts until the following year. The owner Matthew Bury has been doing graphical artist work since the late 1990's. With over 20 years of experience doing graphical work and working in a silk screeen t-shirt factory years ago, he put forth his knownledge and started Digital Designed. They mainly do all web orders. Currently their site is down due to a programming update that hasn't been resolved, but they hope to have it back up in the near future. In the meantime they have been using social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram to display their work, and to get in contact with their customers. They have also just recently started using Etsy as a 3rd party site to help boost their online presence and to help increase sales.
What sets Digital Designed apart from some of the other companies out there is their ability to work with small volume orders. Most of your t-shirt shops out there have a mininum for a shirt order (typical they want a min. of a 75 piece shirt order). They can make lesser quantity shirts. If you just need one shirt done, they can do that. If you were having a small event or a family reunion or a briderial shower, that would make each shirt unique for everyone. The design didn't need to be the same for everyone. You will not find that with most places out there. They also do everything inhouse. From design concept for production, everything is done there. No sending out material to be cut, or having someone else design your artwork. This in return helps them keep the cost down. Also being a virtual store, keeps the cost and overhead down as well. They don't need to pay for a brick and motor location, or to have tons of supplies on hand that a typical store would need.
One of Digital Designed's biggest features is the amount of Autism related items. Autism is something this company holds near and dear to them. Both of their childern are on the spectrum. So they are using their knowledge to help promote and spread the awareness of Autism. They have been going and setting up as a vendor for the Autism York Expo for the last 9 years. Last year they couldn't because of the COVID restrictions, but they have been there every year possible. They allow those that want shirts to pick out from some of the premade designs they have, then to pick their shirt color and the design color. So everyone there is getting a custom made shirt to their liking. Its not a bunch of premade shirts. They are interacting with each and every customer that comes to their table. They get the joy out of watching the kids and their parents watching them make the shirt just for them right there.
